The Friday Night Boot Camp will be part critique group and part instruction. Faculty and participants will read participants’ submitted writing in advance, break into small groups (each with two or three faculty members) to discuss the writing in a critique group format, then finish with discussion of topics selected by the faculty and some Q&A. The critique group experience will be friendly and collegial and will focus on constructive critiques of writing, not writers.
Participants are invited to submit the first 10 double-spaced pages of a prose work-in-progress in any genre, or up to three pages of verse (which could be one or more poems), by Monday, March 3. Details and other instructions will be sent by e-mail to the address included in each participant’s registration. Late submissions, including by late registrants, are welcome and will be accommodated to the extent reasonably possible.
